RABAT, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan Prime Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani on Monday commended Chinese companies' growing interest in investing in Morocco, the PM's office said in a statement.
According to the statement, El Othmani met representatives of leading Chinese companies on the sidelines of the Sixth Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs in Beijing.
These meetings were an opportunity for the two parties to explore investment projects and promote expertise sharing and job creation in a win-win spirit, said the statement.
Chinese investors have demonstrated rising interest in investing in communication, energy and infrastructure sectors in Morocco, said El Othmani.
El Othmani also highlighted the opportunities offered by Morocco for foreign investors, stressing his country's commitment to further improving the business climate for Moroccan and foreign investors to attract more investment toward the African continent in line with Morocco's African policy.
For their part, the Chinese officials hailed the investment climate in Morocco, expressing their readiness to support the major projects taking place in Morocco, as well as launching joint ventures with Moroccan economic stakeholders to serve the interests of both parties.
