BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese and U.S. military will co-host the 2018 Asia Pacific Military Health Exchange (APMHE) in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, from September 17 to 21.
Some 600 people, including military representatives from 28 countries and representatives from the United Nations, International Red Cross, and Association of Southeast Asian Nations Center of Military Medicine, will participate in the event, said Ren Guoqiang, spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, at a press conference Thursday in Beijing.
The theme of the annual meeting is "Challenges and Solutions: Strengthening Global Health." This will be the first time that the Chinese and U.S. military co-host the APMHE in China, said Ren.
