BERLIN, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Newly promoted Nuremberg have completed the transfer of goalkeeper Patric Klandt from league rivals Freiburg, both Bundesliga clubs confirmed on Friday.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper completed the goalkeeper trio after putting pen to paper on a season long deal.
"With the signing of Patric our goalkeeper team is complete. He is an ideal complement to our existing goalkeepers. Especially our young goalkeepers will benefit from his experience," Nuremberg's sporting director Andreas Bornemann said.
The back up custodian wore three years Freiburg's jersey and made one appearance. Before his time at Freiburg, Klandt played from 2008 until 2015 for FSV Frankfurt and made 229 appearances.
"When I heard of Nuremberg interest I did not have to think twice. I look forward to the exciting job here at the club and will do my very best to ensure that we have an enjoyable season here," Klandt said.
Newly promoted Nuremberg travel to Hertha Berlin to kick off their Bundesliga season on Aug. 25. Enditem
