HANOI, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of local and foreign representatives including ministers, senior diplomats, businesspersons, students and journalists attended a reception here at the Chinese Embassy on Sunday to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China which falls on Oct.1.
In her welcome speech, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of China in Vietnam Yin Haihong pointed out China's remarkable achievements over the past 69 years, including decades of reform and opening-up as China embarked on the journey of national rejuvenation and economic prosperity that profoundly changed China and influenced the whole world.
As an active participant in economic globalization and a main contributor to world development, China's determination to deepen reform and expand its opening-up policy will not be shaken, stressed Yin.
Attending the reception, Dinh Tien Dung, member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Minister of Finance, said Vietnam always attaches great importance and looks forward to working with China to intensify the traditional friendship and the substantive cooperation between the two countries, bringing about practical benefits to the two peoples as well as the region and the world.
