ULAN BATOR, March 1 (Xinhua) -- A cultural event called "Spring Festival - Delicious Chinese Cuisine" was held at the State Music and Dance Conservatory in the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator on Friday.
"Food is an important part of any country's culture and traditions. I hope the event will help Mongolians better understand Chinese food culture," Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Xing Haiming said at the opening ceremony of the event.
Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia Li Wei, director of the Mongolian State Music and Dance Conservatory Tsogbadrakh Purevkhuu, as well as teachers and students, also participated in the event.
Xing and other staff of the embassy taught the students of the conservatory how to make Chinese dumplings.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia. And this event, co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia and Chinese Cultural Center in Ulan Bator, is part of a series of activities to celebrate the solid friendship between the two countries.
