CAIRO, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The Egyptian naval forces seized a ship with seven foreigners suspected of trying to smuggle more than two tons of heroin and 99 kg of ice drug into the country through the Red Sea, the Egyptian Interior Ministry said Thursday.
"The ship raised the flag of a foreign country," the ministry said in a statement without revealing the country's name.
Two Egyptian drug dealers are also involved in the smuggling case, while the amount of narcotics is worth more than 2 billion Egyptian pounds (115 million U.S. dollars), the statement added.
The police are still in pursuit of the two Egyptian suspects.
