Young Ladies' Festival celebrated in Jiangyao Village of China's Gansu

In counties such as Xihe and Lixian in the southern part of Gansu Province, celebration of the Young Ladies' Festival starts on the eve of the first day of the seventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar and lasts for seven days. In a typical celebration, the locals go through seven stages of rituals to pray to the Weaver Girl, a legendary romantic figure, in hopes that the young girls will be granted with good skills and happy life.
