LONDON, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The British opposition Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn on Friday denounced as "unconstitutional" a no-deal Brexit if it takes place during an election campaign.
Corbyn is concerned that his country could exit the European Union (EU) while a campaign is underway and before a new government is formed.
Local media reports said he had written to Cabinet Secretary Mark Sedwill, saying such a possible move is an "anti-democratic abuse of power."
There is speculation that British lawmakers would table a no-confidence motion in Prime Minister Boris Johnson to prevent the country from leaving the EU without a deal. That would prompt a snap general election.
