BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Sino-German joint venture FAW-Volkswagen has started to recall 130,462 Audi Q3 vehicles in China due to defects, according to the country's market regulator.
The recall, beginning on Aug. 29, involves certain Audi Q3 models manufactured in the country between Dec. 2, 2015 and March 29, 2019, said a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Incorrect configuration with the diagnostic software between the vehicles' body control modules (BCMs) and LED light drivers could lead to safety risks, according to the statement.
It said the company would upgrade the BCM software for the affected vehicles free of charge.
