BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- A calligraphy exhibition gathering works from nearly 100 master calligraphers is on display in Beijing marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The calligraphers were invited to produce works for the exhibition in various Chinese calligraphic styles on topics related to major events from the 70-year history of the republic, said Su Shishu, president of the China Calligraphers Association.
All the works are large in scale, standing about 3.7 meters in height and 1.4 meters in width.
The exhibition is being held at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution and will end on Monday.
