BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Participants hailed governance experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China's impressive achievements at the second high-level think tank forum on governance of developing countries held Tuesday in Beijing.
The forum was jointly hosted by the Party School of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (National Academy of Governance) and the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee.
"The CPC has been able to achieve reform and progress in China," Ahcene Boukhelfa, Ambassador of Algeria to China said, attributing it to several advantages in terms of "guiding ideology, ideological and political work, organizational system, institutional mechanism and support among the masses".
Speaking about the battle against COVID-19, Siddharth Chatterjee, UN resident coordinator in China, praised that China has succeeded in slowing the spread of virus, through its robust public health response.
He said communities in China have benefited from the government's organized, structured and community-centered approach.
"Other countries now emulate elements of China's work on community-based disease surveillance systems, triage through primary health care services, and deployment of health workers to meet basic needs while ensuring their workplace safety," he said.
These lessons will assist other countries during their recovery phase to strengthen health systems and build back stronger, he added.
