BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- A cross-Strait calligraphy and painting exhibition opened Friday in Beijing, gathering the artwork of over 40 master calligraphers and painters from both the mainland and Taiwan.
Nearly 100 pieces of traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, ink paintings and calligraphy works are on display at the exhibition which will run through Nov. 20.
First initiated in 2015, the annual event works as a platform for exchanges between artists across the Taiwan Strait.
